Resources
Skybird Wildlife Center
Professional Wildlife Rehabilitator right here in Maine
Skybird is located in Durham Maine and has the ability to take on birds (and other wildlife) that I am not physically or legally able to handle. We have a working relationship where they send us domestic birds and I send them wild birds. Â
Palomacy
Wonderful resource for all things pigeon and dove.
Palomacy is the biggest name in pigeon rescue and their vast wealth of knowledge and social media presence has helped save the lives of thousands of pigeons worldwide. Their website has everything you might need for keeping pigeons, caring for ferals and rescuing pigeons.
Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue
Pigeon rescue, care, adoption in the Great Lakes region.
Along with Palomacy I owe a lot of what I know to this organization. This is a site I frequent for help. GLPR has helped over 2000 pigeons and continues to do so. They are also a great resource if you are looking to add a pigeon to your family.
Misfits Rehab
Professional Wildlife Rehabilitator right here in Maine
Misfits is another very special rehab located in Auburn Maine that is a mammal specific operation. What makes them so special is that they will help where they can and not just say "nope, can't help." So if you find any wild mammal in need of help from mice to coyotes, misfits is amazing.
